Collection: Sticky Notes / Notepads

A Post-it note (or Sticky Note ) is a notepad where each sheet has a strip of weak adhesive glue on the back that can be reused, so that the note can be attached to, for example, another paper without this being damaged by the glue. Although they are now available in a large number of colors, shapes and sizes, they are most often square or rectangular and with a yellow color. The original version was a canary yellow square with a side length of 7.5 cm.

Fun facts:

Post-it was invented in 1968 by 3M 's Art Fry , who used an adhesive developed by scientistSpencer Silver . Until 1990 (when the patent expired) they were only produced at 3M's facility in Cynthiana , USA . Although other companies now produce sticky and reusable notepads of this type, the lion's share of such notes are still produced in Cynthiana.

The name "Post-it" and the color canary yellow are registered trademarks of 3M. "Sticky Note" is a trademark of Société Bic . Generic terms include "yellow sticky notes" and "sticky notepad". To capitalize on the success of the brand, 3M produces other products related to the Post-it concept.
